Our colleague Isabell Szallies will also be there. She will be presenting the BeetleSoundTube project, a special early detection system for pests in silos. This is an extremely important topic, as 2 to 4 percent of grain harvests are lost every year due to pest infestation. In addition, there are further losses due to mold growth as a result of the pests’ excretions.
