Team vom Projekt How can agricultural advisory services in Europe become better connected, more responsive and more future-oriented? This is the focus of the new EU-funded dynADVICE project, in which agrathaer GmbH is one of the project partners.

The seven-year project officially started on 1 September 2026 and is coordinated by Teagasc, the Agriculture and Food Development Authority in Ireland. A total of 21 organisations from 16 European countries are working together in the consortium, including agricultural advisory organisations, research institutions, professional networks and innovation specialists.

Strengthening knowledge, skills and networks

Agricultural advisers play a key role in bringing knowledge and innovation into farming practice. At the same time, advisory systems across Europe remain partly fragmented, and opportunities for professional development, exchange and networking vary between countries and organisations.

This is where dynADVICE comes in. The project aims to build a sustainable and effective European advisory ecosystem and strengthen dynamic learning and exchange networks for agricultural advisers.

Key objectives include:

  • strengthening advisers’ skills and professional development,
  • facilitating the exchange of experience and knowledge across countries and organisations,
  • fostering closer links between advisory services, research, policy and innovation,
  • accelerating the transfer of practical and research-based knowledge into farming, and
  • building and developing long-term learning and advisory networks.

The project will offer opportunities for training, mentoring, peer learning, workshops, international visits and exchanges. Multilingual digital tools and a collaborative online platform will further support continuous knowledge-sharing and engagement.

€3.9 million in cascade funding for additional stakeholders

A key component of dynADVICE is €3.9 million in cascade funding. Through seven open calls, agricultural advisers and advisory networks beyond the project consortium will have the opportunity to participate in dynADVICE activities and benefit from the project’s networking and learning opportunities.

The first open call is expected in early 2027. Further information on eligibility, funding opportunities and the application process will be announced in due course.

Project launched in Kilkenny

On 22 and 23 September 2026, representatives of the 21 beneficiary organisations met in Kilkenny, Ireland, for the project’s kick-off meeting. The meeting focused on developing a shared understanding of the project’s objectives, strengthening cooperation within the consortium and planning the activities for the coming years.

For agrathaer, dynADVICE provides an opportunity to contribute its expertise to European networks and to work together with partner organisations from across Europe on future-oriented structures for agricultural advisory services.

The project will run until 31 August 2033 and has received €9,999,180.91 in funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme.

We look forward to working with our European partners to share knowledge, strengthen networks and develop new approaches for effective and future-oriented agricultural advisory services.
