MLUK provides 16 million euros for innovative and forward-looking projects in agricultural and horticultural practice

The success story of EIP in Brandenburg continues. In the first call for funding this year, four EIP projects with an application volume of more than 8 million euros have successfully completed the selection process. The MLUK is now supporting further innovative projects for sustainable agriculture in Brandenburg and is providing 16 million euros for this purpose.

Agricultural businesses can now submit project documents to the innovation service provider of the state of Brandenburg together with agricultural advisory services and research institutions in Brandenburg as part of the 2nd call until October 30, 2024. The aim of EIP-AGRI is to promote cooperation between agricultural businesses, agricultural advisory services and agricultural research. The aim is to jointly develop practical solutions that meet the current challenges and innovation needs of agricultural practice in Brandenburg. These practical solutions should improve the sustainability and competitiveness of agriculture in Brandenburg and be of use to agricultural businesses.

New EIP project ideas can cover a wide range of topics and always arise from the needs of agricultural or horticultural practice. The results should be usable for agricultural and horticultural businesses after the end of the project. For this reason, the project partners come together to form so-called Operational Groups (OG), in which the agricultural or horticultural businesses work together on an equal footing with the advisory services and research to develop innovative and practical solutions that have not previously existed in Brandenburg.

Interested applicants can obtain free advice from the innovation service provider, agrathaer GmbH (e-mail: idl-brandenburg@agrathaer.de, or call 033432-82141) for support in preparing the necessary project submission documents. Contact is recommended.
