EU through the Interreg Baltic Sea Programme
01.10.2022 – 31.03.2023
Aim of the project
The StratKIT+ project focuses on healthier and more sustainable food consumption in the public sector in the Baltic Sea region. It provides guidance to public authorities, catering providers and others on sustainable procurement for schools, daycare centers, hospitals and other public institutions. Public catering facilities need support, advice and networks to integrate environmental goals and strategies into the provision of nutritionally adequate meals. The online toolkit for sustainable public catering provided by the project offers this information: Developing sustainability skills related to food consumption for educators or tips for better collaboration between all stakeholders to counteract a possible lack of experience, motivation and knowledge.
Municipalities and food providers should be able to respond quickly to challenges arising from legal regulations, societal changes and various crises, while not being afraid to become local pioneers. StratKIT+ will contribute in many ways to greater sustainability of public catering in the BSR.
agrathaer is involved in many tasks of the StratKIT+ project. We are mainly responsible for the target group-oriented dissemination of the project results, in particular through a project website including a knowledge platform, and in researching examples of good crisis management in public catering. We also develop training material for stakeholder workshops.
